Advandia
and Avandamet Warning
The FDA is alerting doctors about reports of diabetic eye
complications for those taking Advandia and Avandamet.
The complication results from fragile and leaking blood vessels
in the eye and can lead to blurry vision. If you, or anyone
you know is taking either or these drugs and experiences blurred
vision, decreased color sensitivity or a change in the ability
to see in the dark you should immediately contact your doctor.
Most patients who experienced this complication also reported
swelling in their legs and feet. In some of the cases the
complication improved or stopped when patients stopped taking
the drug.
It is important for anyone diagnosed with diabetes or pre-diabetes
to make a serious commitment to lifestyle changes that can
eliminate the need for these drugs. These changes include:
1. A change in eating habits to a healthy diet
2. Increased exercise at least 3 times per week
3. the Blood Sugar Pack™™
Following these guidelines will result in a dramatically
better quality of life - without the side effects of pharmaceutical
drugs.
